1 Dec 2011 Nature Materia Series of poetic pieces in which elements of nature are integrated with the human body, pieces made along the years. Since her begining in the arts, Patricia has had a strong interest on experimenting materia in relation with the body, generating a series of pieces with very varied materials, from retails of materia from her architectural works till daily life materials, using them as folding fabrics, giving a new symbolism to each element that she uses. THE FLIGHT Long skirt that consits on a piece of white semitransparent fabric covered with 300 white feathers creating a continuous skin around the body. Materials: Tulle, acetate, and marabú feathers. SHADOW Long skirt made of black felt covered along all its surface by dried leaves, leaves that on the fall stay suspended on the body. Materials: Felt, acetate, hand made leaves made of balsa wood, cotton fabric and aquarel painting. TRAVEL ACROSS Long skirt made of a folding black net in which a wooden ribon interlaces to surround it, heading the waist. Materials: acrilic net, acetate and wicker wood. MINERAL Corset made of cooked plaster that has been previously moulded on the body to be placed and fixex by metallic joints. Materials: Plaster, steel joints. Urban Materia A series of works that explore the changing relation of the human being with its built and natural enviroment. The pieces integrate architecture, art and technology focused towards the relation body-space.
